BHS currently offers six AP (Advanced Placement) courses. These courses are taught by professionally trained teachers who are following the standards and rigor as outlined by the Collegeboard. Students who take these courses will receive a weighted credit for the course as long as they complete the course and take the AP Exam at the end of the term as required by the Arkansas Department of Higer Education. Those scoring well on the AP Exam may qualify for college credit depending on the score and the college or university the student is attending. The courses available at BHS include the following:

• AP Biology

• AP Calculus

• AP Chemistry

• AP Language

• AP Literature
