The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a * Flood Watch for portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS, including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway, Perry, Pope, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton, Searcy, and Van Buren. In WESTERN ARKANSAS, Johnson, Logan, Montgomery, Polk, and Scott. * Through late tonight * Parts of northern and western Arkansas could receive two to four inches of rain through this evening. Isolated higher amounts will be possible. * Given recent heavy rain, the ground cannot hold much additional water, especially in parts of the Ouachita Mountains of the west, and the Arkansas River Valley west of Morrilton. Flash flooding, as well as flooding along streams, creeks, and low- lying areas will be possible. Remember, if you encounter flood waters, turn around, don`t drown!
