Booneville Junior High School will be pivoting to a virtual learning environment for the remainder of this week, beginning Tuesday, November 17.

Because Monday and Tuesday, November 23 and 24 were designated virtual learning days and November 25-27 are holidays for Thanksgiving, students will not return to campus until Monday, November 30.

The decision to pivot to virtual learning was reached due to a high number of staff members who are required to quarantine due to contact tracing, as well as a lack of substitutes available to fill the positions.

We made the decision to make this move after conversations with the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Arkansas Department of Health.

The move to a virtual environment at the junior high school has no effect on students at Booneville Elementary School or Booneville High School.

Additionally, all athletic events will also be held as scheduled.

While students are away from the campus we will be thoroughly cleaning the school to ensure the safety of our staff and students when on-site instruction resumes on November 30.

As always, please keep your students home if they are sick or experiencing COVID related symptoms.
