Named MVP for Arkansas Valley All-Stars as pitcher. Albert B. Dickey Award. Any regrets from school: Wish I would have studied harder. Why I teach: I enjoy sharing with kids so they will have a better chance in life. Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, camping, traveling--sightseeing, sports. I should have not been so shy. Why I teach. I teach because I love children and I enjoy being around them. I would like to make a difference in their life. My parents inspire me the most. There was a time I wanted to quit college, but my dad convinced me to keep going. If I had quit, I would not be able to be teaching today. My husband also inspires me. If he had not supported me and been so understanding, I would not have completed the NTLP. He kept telling me I could do it. Hobbies: I enjoy water sports, camping, pets, and volleyball. My favorite hobby is doing things with my family, it doesn't matter what we do as long as we are together! Favorite Food to Eat: Pizza, chicken, and baked potato. Family Info: I have been married to my husband, Scott, for twenty years. We have one wonderful daughter, Shayna, who is fifteen. What would you do if you weren't a teacher? I would like to work with children, probably somewhere like DHS, and hopefully help change their lives. Favorite saying: Success starts with believing in yourself.
